Founded in 2004 by entrepreneurs Marcus Figueredo and Sérgio Rogal, Hilab is a healthtech specialized in the development of remote laboratory tests (TLR), with the purpose of democratizing and universalizing access to quality healthcare in Brazil and around the world.

Its products offer point-of-care solutions with great convenience and affordability for patients and clients. The equipment is a kind of mini-laboratory, developed and patented to process analyzes with blood samples extracted through digital puncture and using encapsulated reagents, specific for each type of exam. The software incorporates data intelligence into the process and delivers an easy, agile and uncomplicated experience to the patient. The exam results are ready in minutes and have assertiveness comparable to the best traditional laboratories.

The solid research and development work carried out by Hilab over almost two decades gained special momentum during the pandemic. The company was the first Brazilian laboratory to carry out the rapid test for the identification of the Covid-19 virus, having also established a partnership with the Butantan Institute for several projects on the control and epidemiological screening of the coronavirus in the country.
